If you think the Whittier neighborhood near La Serna beats Palos Verdes Estates, you really need to get out more often.

He’ll just move to friendly hills with that 4k stipend.

@At Agreed: Troy doesn’t have to live in the barrio. La Serna neighborhood homes are better than Palos Verdes.

Yeah, sure, Troy Thomas is a serious candidate for the Santa Fe job. He really wanted the Keppel gig, but the Chiefs thing is a close second. With the big bucks WUHSD pays, Troy can buy a mansion in Palos Verdes Estates right next to Lincoln Riley, commuting to the Santa Fe campus by helicopter.

That’s exactly what happened . This agreement was made months ago , he was given one last season if he promised to go . The timing has been worked out so as to not appear obvious and he can maintain honor . #monarchway#ocinsider

@ Question Mark: I believe Coach Rollinson wanted to make it look like he isn’t leaving under a cloud of suspicion. (Appearances are everything, right?) That could explain why he waited until almost the end of another season before announcing his retirement. There will be no admission of guilt and no visible accountability on his part.
Don’t quote me, but Rollinson’s departure as Mater Dei’s head football coach at this time could be one of the secretive terms of the player-hazing lawsuit we now know nothing about. A lot of money must have exchanged hands, and an iron-clad nondisclosure agreement appears to be in effect.

Poets giving up the ghost after 118 years. Leos next to go. Oxy already gone. If small colleges can’t afford football are high schools next?

The guy is 100 years old. He thinks kids still defend themselves and fight back. He’s easily one of the greatest coaches to ever do it and this thing never won’t change that and won’t make me look at the guy any different.

When I heard that Rollinson’s leaving, I recruited a bucket of tears. Really sad to see the father of locker room punching, punching out.
