Jerry West was often called Mr. Clutch, but that auto part is useless without a throw-out bearing, so count me in for the hall of fame too. Seriously though, this guy was simply a basketball legend, right alongside the game’s inventor, James Naismith. Sad to realize that of the Lakers’ big three from yesteryear, Chamberlain, Baylor and West, none are still with us. May they all rest in peace.

What about Jerry west passing away? That’s not news ?
From T. Peterson: That news didn’t break until about 7:00 Wednesday morning. “The Ten” is posted before 5:00 a.m. so it wasn’t out yet. I’ll have something on it soon though. Probably early Thursday morning.
