Sierra League at a Glance

Noah Mikhail (Texas A&M commit) is ready for a huge year at Bonita.

With Charter Oak on the rise, Bonita and Colony always contending and Glendora preparing to knock any one of them off the Sierra is arguably the toughest league in the Valley. Throw in Los Osos and Claremont, two teams that could jump up and bite somebody, and every week is going to be a dogfight.

Charter Oak has four players that have already signed with Division 1 schools, Bonita has at least two and Colony head coach Brian Zavala is hosting college coaches seemingly every week. That’s the good news. The bad news is that they all still have to not only beat each other to win the League but Glendora as well – no easy task. And you can’t sleep on Los Osos or Claremont either. Who will be the last team standing?

Projected Order of Finish:

  1. Charter Oak – Legend Lyons or Marquis Bradley? Pick your poison.
  2. Colony – Elijah Ybanez poised for a big year.
  3. Bonita – We like Noah Mikhail.
  4. Glendora – Receiver Tim Johnson returns as a key target for the Tartans.
  5. Los Osos – Still think the Grizz surprises one of the top three.
  6. Claremont – Not ready for the big time yet.

    @LS,

    Every 4th comment is about La Serna and you want to complaint about Bonita??? Lol.
    From T. Peterson: Yeah I agree. That was ridiculous. As Kobe used to say…soft.

    I don’t want to jinx those Chargers, but they really look good. Their schedule of home and away games will be nice for the fans too, except the one in San Diego.
