  1. Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson ruptured his right Achilles Sunday against the Bengals and is out for the year. 
  2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin dislocated his left ankle Monday night a 41-31 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and is likely out for the year.
  3. The New Orleans Saints signed running back Alvin Kamara to a two-year $24.5 million extension. 
  4. The Lakers beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 110-103 Tuesday night to open the 2024-’25 NBA season. LeBron James’ son Bronny entered the game in the second quarter for the Lakers marking the first time a father-son duo played in an NBA game together.    
  5. San Dimas beat Westminster 19-13 Tuesday in the first round of the Girls Flag Football playoffs. 
  6. “Rumors: The Vikings and the Rams are in serious trade talks for QB Matthew Stafford, per @jacksettleman.” – Dov Kleiman on Twitter (X). 
  7. San Francisco 49ers receiver Brandon Aiyuk suffered a torn ACL and MCL Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs and is out for the season. 
  8. The Rams have also reportedly reached out to multiple teams to shop wide receiver Cooper Kupp. 
  9. Game 1 of the World Series Friday night at Dodger Stadium will feature a pitching matchup of the Dodgers Jack Flaherty (Harvard-Westlake) vs. the Yankees Gerritt Cole (Orange Lutheran). 
  10. Cameron Bateman of Chino Hills is the Baseline Legue’s leading receiver thus far with 38 catches for 700 yards and 7 touchdowns.
