We released the Top 12 early this week with CIF selection Sunday looming. Only two losses this week for the Top 12 teams. St. Paul fell by four points to a Cathedral team that is 9-1 and 5-0 in the Angelus League. Mayfair went toe to toe with third ranked Downey before coming up five points short. Neither team should take a hit for those results. Schurr jumped up a spot with a perfect Almont League run.

1. Damien (8-2) – Spartans hold off Rancho Cucamonga, then survive a game-ending brawl.

2. Bonita (10-0) – Bearcats complete undefeated run with impressive win over Colony.

3. Downey (9-1) – Oscar Rios runs, throws, leaps over tall buildings in a single bound.

4. Northview (10-0) – Vikings look ready for any Division.

5. St. Paul (6-4) – Swordsmen second in Angelus. Division 4?

6. Mayfair (7-3) – Monsoons will be a tough out in any Division.

7. Charter Oak (8-2) – Nice rebound win for Chargers.

8. La Serna (7-3) – Ho hum. Another year, another Del Rio League title.

9. Muir (8-2) – Pacific League champion Mustangs cap off solid regular season with Turkey Tussle victory.

10. Rio Hondo Prep (8-1) – Kares had the week off to get healthy and scheme for playoffs.

11. Schurr (9-1) – Spartans only loss was to eighth ranked La Serna.

12. San Dimas (8-2) – Saints look poised to make a post season run in the right Division.
