(Arcadia) – Arcadia allowed four runs in the first inning and could never recover in a 4-1 loss to Orange Lutheran Tuesday night at Giambrone Field.
The loss was the first of the year for the Apaches after 13 straight victories to start the season.
Colt Peterson went the distance for Orange Lutheran allowing just four hits and striking out nine.

The only hint of trouble for Peterson came in the fifth inning. Tyler Brereton doubled down the left field line and scored on a single by Matt Manzo. Peterson then retired the next three hitters to get out of the inning.
He then retired the side in order in sixth and seventh innings to finish it off.
Peterson started with a four-run cushion after Orange Lutheran got four in the top of the first. Brady Murrietta singled and Josiah Hartshorn reached on an error. Hamilton Friedberg singled home a run and Noah Haros hit a ball to left field that was misplayed and two more runs scored. Wyatt Hanoian then doubled home Haros and two outs into the game it was already 4-0 O Lu.
The Lancers and Peterson made the runs stand up the rest of the way.

Damian Catano also pitched a complete game for Arcadia. He settled down after the first inning. He allowed just five hits overall and retired the side in order in each of the last three innings.
The Apaches will get another crack at Orange Lutheran when they make the trip down to Orange County on Friday.
Arcadia is now 13-1 on the season while Orange Lutheran improved to 9-1.

Sounds like a couple fielding blunders led to huge first inning for OL. Orange County teams talented and disciplined , can’t win with those miscues early in game . Interesting to see what happens in rematch behind the Orange Curtain!
From T. Peterson: Right. A double play ball hit to second base was misplayed and a fly ball to left field that led directly to two runs should have been caught as well. Catano pitched well enough to win 1-0.
