(Alhambra) – In a battle for first in the Almont, Keppel came up clutch in the bottom of the seventh with two runs to defeat Montebello 3-2 to guarantee a share of the top spot. The comeback win for the Aztecs came with two-outs.
Wolfpack battles back against Oilers
(South El Monte) – Sometimes the best defense is a good offense. This was the case Saturday afternoon as the Claremont Wolfpack accumulated 24 hits in a 13-8 victory over the Montebello Oilers in the championship game of the Arroyo tournament. The Oilers managed 16 hits on three different pitchers.
