Host Arroyo Wins SGV Shootout

(El Monte) – Arroyo beat Diamond Bar 42-24 late Saturday afternoon to win the SGV Shootout. The Knights beat Crescenta Valley 33-27 in the semi finals while Diamond Bar knocked off Monrovia 33-9. It was the second time in the history of the Shootout that Arroyo has won its own tournament.

Hernandez Resigns at Nogales

(La Puente) – Sebastian Hernandez has stepped down as the head coach at Nogales mulitiple sources have confirmed. Hernandez spent three years at the helm compiling an overall record of 7-23.

Breaking News…Not! Henderson to Cathedral

(Rosemead) – In what isn’t exactly a scoop but is definitely worth reporting Rosemead junior linebacker Matt Henderson has taken his talents to Cathedral. Henderson, who had 44 overall tackles for the Panthers last year, was expected to play a key part in the Rosemead defense this season.
