Crescenta Valley Names Boykins Head Basketball Coach

By Tim Peterson (La Crescenta) – Crescenta Valley has named DoVall Boykins the new Boys Basketball Head Coach the school announced Thursday. Boykins, who has been a part of the Crescenta Valley staff for the last 18 years, takes over for Shawn Zargarian who stepped down after this past season.

By Tim Peterson The Chargers have resolved their tight end issues for now. After bringing in Tyler Conklin for a visit the Chargers signed the former New York Jets tight end to a one-year, $3 million deal Friday. Conklin can make up to $4.5 million with incentives.

Cougars Smacked in Seventh; Split With Biola

By Tim Peterson (Azusa) – Azusa Pacific had a one-run lead heading into the seventh inning but gave up four runs on back-to-back home runs and fell to Biola 9-6 Saturday at the Cougar Baseball Complex. With the loss the Cougars split a doubleheader as well as the four game series with the Eagles.
