Rodriguez Resigns at Mt. View
By Tim Peterson (El Monte) – Paul Rodriguez has stepped down as the head football coach at Mt. View. He was asked to resign after allowing a player to participate in a game who was not cleared from a previous injury according to multiple sources.

Penn State Gives Trojans the Boot in Overtime
By Tim Peterson (Los Angeles) – Ryan Barker split the uprights from 34 yards out to give Penn State a 33-30 win over USC Saturday before 75, 250 fans at United Airlines Field at the LA Memorial Coliseum.
Seven Straight for Vikings
By Tim Peterson (Covina) – Keanu Tauvao rushed for 182 yards and three touchdowns to lead Northview to a 40-10 rout of San Dimas Friday night at Covina District Field. The Vikings kept their perfect season intact with their seventh straight victory.

Mid Valley High School Football Top 12
Everybody in the Top 12 won in Week 6 except Bishop Amat. No big changes this week but La Serna did jump up a spot with a big win and Amat’s loss. Bonita pressing Damien for the top as the Bearcats just keep on winning. Northview-San Dimas is huge this week.
Duronslet’s Dash Carries Colts to Finish Line
By Tim Peterson (Covina)- Jake Duronslet dashed into the end zone from eight yards out with 16 seconds left in the fourth quarter to give Covina a 23-18 win over Los Altos Friday night at Covina District Field.

Big Second Half Lifts Trojans to First Big Ten Win
By Tim Peterson (Los Angeles) – USC outscored Wisconsin 28-0 in the second half to erase an 11-point halftime deficit in a 38-21 win over the Badgers Saturday before 74, 118 at United Airlines Field at the LA Memorial Coliseum. This marked the first Big Ten Conference win for the Trojans.
