Update: Bell Reinstated at Monrovia

By Tim Peterson (Monrovia) – Randy Bell, who was dismissed as the Athletic Director at Monrovia on Tuesday, was reinstated as AD on Wednesday when Superintendent Ryan Smith found the information on the dismissal to be inadequate.

Bell Out as Monrovia Athletic Director

By Tim Peterson (Monrovia) – Randy Bell been dismissed as Athletic Director at Monrovia after more than 20 years on the job. Bell was told that they have decided to go in a different direction. He will continue to teach at the school.

Ganesha Wins Division 7 Title

By Gene Clines (Long Beach)- Ganesha wrapped up a perfect 18-0 season with a 7-0 victory over Fillmore Friday at Blair Field in Long Beach to win the CIF Division 7 Baseball championship.

Late Score Saves South

By Tim Peterson (Walnut) – Walnut’s Salvador Quintanilla crashed into the endzone for a two-point conversion with 1:13 left in the fourth quarter to give the South an 8-7 win over the North Friday night in the North-South All-Star game at Walnut High.
