Steven Tolbert II is the new head basketball coach at La Salle

(Pasadena) – Steven Tolbert II has been hired as the new head basketball coach at La Salle the school announced Wednesday.

“His exceptional leadership, expertise, and passion for the game, will lead our boys’ basketball program to new heights,” La Salle Athletics posted on Twitter.

The Lancers went 2-8 in the Camino Real League and 9-18 last year overall.

    Tolbert was a casualty of the LeBron invasion at Campbell Hall. He had some good talent there and did a decent job vs quality opposition; LaSalle is a different type of situation and they were not good last year . His coaching acumen will be severely tested unless he can get some club guys to ride East on 210 freeway
