1.) The Raiders have the second worst record in the NFL since they lost to Tampa Bay in the Super Bowl in 2002. Detroit has the worst.

2.) Robert Woods scored on a 97 yard kickoff return last year as a freshman for USC in a win over Minnesota. USC vs. Minnesota Saturday 12:30 p.m. – Coliseum.

3.) “OK, I’ve decided since I can’t find a teaching job I’m going to come out of retirement and play pro ball. So if you guys hear of any NFL teams looking for a 6-4, 230 lb, 5.9-40, 37 year old QB with bad knees, bad back and bad shoulder…let me know!” – Jim Arellanes.

4.) Saturday night’s Covina-West Covina showdown will be a year to the date from Covina’s 27-21 win over the Bulldogs on Friday September 3, 2010.

5.) Doggone it! Michael Vick’s 100 million dollar contract was the second contract of that size of his NFL career.

6.) Winners of seven of their last eight, the Dodgers are suddenly just five games below .500.

7.) Matador Til the End – Bobby Villanueva 1972-2011- will be honored before the San Gabriel – Muir game Friday night.

8.) Former South Pasadena quarterback Conor Bednarski is in a battle for the starting job at Fullerton JC.

9.) Oakland’s Terelle Pryor will see his first action Friday night against the Seahawks.
