Burroughs Rolls as Anding Returns

By Eddie Solomon

(Glendale) – Zander Anding carried the ball only six times as he returned to the field after a collapsed lung sidelined him last week. But he racked up 223 yards with those carries as Burroughs routed Hoover 42-14 Thursday night in Pacific League play.

Anding scored on touchdown runs of 90 and 64 yards and Brad Hunt threw three TD strikes to lead the offensive outburst.

Hunt completed 9 of 12 for 81 yards and the three scores. The three touchdown passes went to three different receivers as Hunt found Eli Peppmuller, Connor Kramme and Ojarhee Brown.

Hoover’s Luke Tabayoyong had 27 carries for 92 yards and a touchdown.

Burroughs improved to 5-1 in league and 5-4 overall while Hoover is still on the outside looking in at 0-6 and 0-9.
