…ran for two touchdowns and quarterback Andrew Elffers ran for another in Maranatha’s 45-7 victory over L.A. Baptist on Saturday afternoon. The game concluded the regular season for both schools.
Elffers also completed a touchdown pass to Clifford Martin as the Minutemen finished the regular season 8-2 overall, 2-2 in Olympic League play.
“It really doesn’t matter who we play in these games,” said Maranatha HC Pete Karavedas. “It’s about us getting better.”
To his team he said; “Congrats on a great regular season, but you understand the real season begins now.”
The Minutemen, a lock to get one of the Mid-Valley Division’s four at-large births, now wait for CIF selections to come out on Sunday.
