Devil Made Me Do It

The BCS is complete joke.

On a weekend that saw the #2 Oklahoma State Cowboys lose to a unranked Iowa State squad, they fall just four spots. This after the pollsters in the Harris and USA Today ranked them sixth.

That’s right sixth. If this was a PAC-12, MWC, Big Ten, or MAC school the ranking fall would have been astronomical.

The polls are doing everything they can to avoid a Houston-LSU Championship.

The good news comes in the form of the fact that Arkansas faces LSU and Auburn plays Alabama this week. So we at least know someone may drop a spot.

I understand the SEC is tough and talented, but looking over their non-conference schedule was like a who’s who of Division 1AA and Division II schools.

Come on now, how can you say LSU is really undefeated when they only beat Northwestern State by 46? How about Roll Tide? Wins against Kent State, North Texas and Georgia Southern really makes me feel that they deserve to be near the top.

Third seeded Arkansas started the season with that powerhouse of a school Missouri State. I smelled comeback my MSU when they scored in that third quarter of a 51-7 loss. Add New Mexico and Troy to the mix.

Honestly, most of the schools in the Top 10 have some sort of cupcake, even Houston (See September 3rd opponent).

This year screams playoff scenario, of course to deaf ears.

Kudos to USC who escaped with a win at Autzen Stadium on Saturday night, they could’ve been looking ahead to UCLA but didn’t.

Speaking of UCLA, its recent win over Colorado made it bowl eligible. Think a win over USC could save Slick Rick’s job. Of course, I still think he is probably gone even if they win the Pac-12 title.
