Mid Valley Girls Basketball Top 20

Julissa Aguirre helped Arcadia upset Notre Dame on Saturday.

Better late than never when it comes to the first official Top 20 of the basketball year. The usual suspects head the top four spots, but Keppel is in the hung along with Whittier.

  1. Muir (8-1) – Two week layoff is only concern entering Best of the West Tournament.
  2. Diamond Ranch (5-1) – Panthers were looking for Sherrie Edmonds Tournament Championship.
  3. Bishop Amat (7-2) – Team play keeps them in all ball games.
  4. Bonita (5-1) – Restocked and reloaded with Nikki Wheatley showing the way.
  5. Keppel (3-1) – Aztecs Alyson Lock is one to watch.
  6. Whittier (7-0) – Impressive win in two straight tournaments.
  7. Duarte (3-1) – Imari Brown averaging 15 points per game.
  8. Los Angeles Baptist (8-1) – Poised for third Championship in three weeks.
  9. La Salle (6-3) – Lose in Golden Valley tourney Final.
  10. Pasadena Poly (6-2) – Nothing wrong with loss to tough St. Anthony’s team.
  11. Norwalk (6-3) – Won Pioneer Tournament Championship.
  12. Covina (6-2) – Colts look to be back in the fold in Valle Vista.
  13. Arcadia (4-2) – Signature win against Notre Dame.
  14. Glendora (8-3) – Buzzer beater breaks hearts in San Marino.
  15. St. Lucy’s (5-3) – Savannah Selby has the Regents on a four game winning streak.
  16. La Mirada (5-3) – Alexandra Vanzuilen averaging 13.3 points per game.
  17. South Pasadena (9-4) – In finals of El Segundo tournament.
  18. Rio Hondo Prep (3-1) – Could be threat to Pasadena Poly in Prep League.
  19. Village Christian (0-3) – Crusaders will be in the thick of Olympic League race when real season begins.
  20. Pasadena (5-1) – Bulldogs have scored 40 or more points in all six games.
