Better late than never when it comes to the first official Top 20 of the basketball year. The usual suspects head the top four spots, but Keppel is in the hung along with Whittier.

Bearcats Fall Short

(Anaheim) –In less than a week, Bonita went from jubilation on Saturday to heartbreak tonight after dropping the Division 3A Championship at the Anaheim Arena in front of 3,986 against Orange Lutheran, 59-42. When the final buzzer sounded the Lancers stormed the floor to celebrate as the Bearcats watched on.

(Chino Hills) – There would be no buzzer-beaters that could haunt Bonita on this night. Double-digit scoring from four of the five starters for the Bearcats led it to a date with destiny after defeating Bishop Amat 65-53 in the CIF Division 3A semifinal game.

Bearcats Rally to Semi-Finals

A slow start to the quarterfinals, didn’t stop Bonita’s run in the CIF Division 3A playoffs as they battled from 10 points down in the first quarter to defeat Palos Verdes 53-43 Wednesday night.

Bearcats Leave Panthers With a Sweeping Feeling

(Pomona) – Bonita raced out to a 21-4 lead in the first quarter and held off Diamond Ranch to complete its first ever sweep of the Panthers with a 66-56 Hacienda League win.

Bearcats Conquer Los Altos

Bonita used a 42-point first half en route to a 70-15 win over Los Altos in Hacienda League play.
