Nick Ruiz turns back the Brahmas
(La Crescenta) The Diamond Bar Brahmas boys soccer season ended Tuesday afternoon with a 1-0 loss to the Crescenta Valley Falcons.
Pavle Atanack0vic, who has scored all four goals in the playoff for the Falcons, booted home the game winner with nearly 14 minutes gone in the second half.
The Brahmas had their chances in the second half with numerous shots on goal but none were able to find the back of the net.
The last three minutes of the game Diamond Bar was able to play with a one man advantage due to a Falcon player being sent off for a hard tackle but the Brahmas were unable to take advantage.
Crescenta Valley goal keeper Nick Ruiz played a large role in the shut out of Diamond Bar turning back a barage of Brahma shots.
While the Falcons will hit the road to take on Salesian in the quarterfinals, the Brahmas will go home and celebrate Diamond Bars first league title in 10 years.
