Marshall to MVL?

Marshall could end up in the MVL, or Pacific, or the Crescent? Stay tuned

(Pasadena) – Marshall (Pasadena) could end up in the Mission Valley League. Or maybe not. They also could end up in the Pacific, in a completely new league or stay right where they are in the Alpha League.

The Rio Hondo League was another option that Marshall has explored but Marshall doesn’t participate in all of the sports that the Rio Hondo League schools do such as water polo and wrestling and that could play a part in that falling through.

“Marshall is hearing there are three options – joining the Pacific, joining a new league called the Crescent with Blair, Hoover and Glendale or joining the Mission Valley League,” said a source familiar with the negotiations. “But the MVL might be a long shot.”

Last year the Eagles finished 3-7 overall under first year Coach Jim Arellanes. But they were 0-6 in the Alpha League that includes such Mid-Valley Division powers as Paraclete and Sierra Canyon.

The releaguing process continues…any changes would be effective in 2014.
