(Temple City)- When you measure a team’s performance by its possessions instead of the points it scored then you know it was a rough night in Dodge.
Except Friday night it wasn’t Dodge, it was in Temple City where the host Rams fell to the visiting Eagle Rock Eagles 27-8 in week three of the 2013 season.
The Rams, after falling behind 27-0, scored a late touchdown when quarterback Nasser Banihani scored on a 2-yard run with 3:31 to play in the fourth.
The Eagles (4-0) were led by running back Mike Soracco who scored two touchdowns while quarterback Vince Loera passed for two more.
***Temple City had 10 possessions in the game. One ended in a touchdown, three ended by punt, six ended with a turnover on downs.
***Five of the Rams turnover on downs ended in Eagle Rock territory.
***The Eagles led 13-0 at halftime.
***Temple City did not lose possession by fumble or interception.
***The Rams recovered two onside kicks.
***This was the first meeting ever between the two schools.

***Banihani threw the ball five times, completed one pass for 11-yards to Nick Kaneko. His fifth pass busted the lens of a reporter on the sideline.
***Nick Starling led the Rams in rushing with 55 yards on 16 carries. Kaneko carried the ball 15 times for 41 yards, and Diego Arreola 7 carries for 29 yards.
***Temple City (1-3) goes to Rosemead (2-1) next week.
