Oakdale 40 Paraclete 9: Spirits scored early, but ended up getting buried nearly three hundred miles from home. Melquise Stovall scores lone touchdown.

Pomona 38 Sultana 14: Kheenyon Wood returns an interception 30-yards for a touchdown and Manny Lua throws a 63-yard touchdown pass to Shawn Wilson to lead the Red Devils. Pomona is now 4-0.

San Marino 70 Nogales 0: Titans quarterback Andrew Ferraco, who did not play in the fourth quarter last week against Crescenta Valley, sparks his team by having a hand in five touchdowns. San Marino improves to 2-1, the Nobles fall to 1-3.

L.A. Wilson 24 Alhambra 13: Moors running back Michael Valenzuela scored late in the second to give his team a 13-7 lead at the break. Wilson rallied in the second to take the victory. Alhambra is now 0-4

St. Margarets 44 Whittier Christian 14: Ryan Esslinger goes 16 of 27 for 194 yards and a touchdown as the Heralds lose their first game of the season. David Fischer ran for 77 yards and a score. WC is now 3-1.

North Torrance 56 Bishop Montgomery 6: The Saxons evened their record at 2-2, while giving the Knights, 3-1, their first loss of the season. Mique Juarez accounted for four touchdowns while playing quarterback, running for two, throwing for one, and catching another. Robbie Hou led Bishop Montgomery with 104 yards on the ground.

Nordhoff 61 Nipomo 0: Rangers quarterback Tanner Workman throws 5 touchdown passes as his team improves to 3-0. The veteran quarterback now has 9 touchdown passes on the season.

Oak Park 52 Calabasas 27: Eagles quarterback Chandler Whitbord goes 16 of 23 for 290 yards and 5 touchdowns. Receiver Matt Byer caught all five of those touchdown passes, and grabbed 8 passes overall for 221 yards. Byer now has 31 receptions for 695 yards and 13 touchdowns on the season. Oak Park is now 3-1 and travels to El Segundo next week.

Muir 70 Verdugo Hills 6: Mustang quarterback Dejon Williams passes for three and runs for three, all in the first half, in rout. Muir, 2-1, opens Pacific League play on the road against Hoover next week.

Bonita 35 Claremont 28: The Bearcats lost Jake Payton early, fell behind, and then rallied behind quarterback Tanner Diebold’s 300 plus yards of combined offense for the late victory.

Chino Hills 52 West Covina 33: Josh Best and Sidney Jones have nice games, but its not enough against CH. Bulldogs now 2-2.

Fullerton 53 California 14

Los Altos 34 Chino 20: Estuardo Marcos returns another kick-off for a touchdown, four total in Conquerors victory.

Diamond Bar 47 Brea-Olinde 0: Tyler Peterson throws 5 touchdown passes, three go to Cordell Broadus as the Brahmas cruise and improve to 3-1 on the season. DB heads to Bonita next week.

Norwalk 45 Whittier 0: Rashaad Penny rushes for 138 yards and four touchdowns as the Lancers stay unbeaten at 4-0. The Cardinals are now 2-2.

Bellflower 24 Santa Ana Valley 7: Tyrus Douglas rushed for 129 yards and a pair of scores to improve the Buccaneers to 2-2.

Paramount 36 L.B. Wilson 13: The Pirates got a pair of touchdowns from quarterback Tyrell Davis, sophomore running back Nick Hutson added another, and “Bad Dude” defensive tackle Joe Brown dominated the line of scrimmage. Paramount is now 2-1 and readies itself for the arrival of Culver City next week.

Downey 51 Milikan 23: Vikings quarterback Jorge Reyna threw for two and ran for another in the win. Running back Justin Huff added 116 yards and a score as Downey evened its record at 2-2. Next week they travel to Huntington Beach.

Burbank 50 Inglewood 12: James Williams scores 4 touchdowns, including a 99-yard kick-off return for a score. Quarterback Ryan Meredith goes 8 of 16 for 187 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Diamond Ranch 28 Schurr 0: The Panthers Jonathan Perkins returned an interception for a touchdown and scored again on a blocked field goal return. Quarterback Xavier Beltran scored twice. D-Ranch is now 3-1, the Spartans fall to 0-3.

Glendale 23 South Pasadena 7: Daniel Jung rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown to lead the Nitros before the game was called with 2:23 remaining after Tigers Jeremy Gabler was injured on a tackle attempt. The game was stopped and Gabler left by ambulance to the hospital. A late report to MVS last night said that Gabler was checked out at the hospital and spent the night at home.
