2.) In USA Today interview former Detroit Lions GM Matt Millen says he wanted to draft DeMarcus Ware instead of USC wide receiver Mike Williams in the 2005 NFL Draft. Millen says the Lions scouting staff talked him out of it.

3.) Diamond Bar quarterback (junior) Tyler Peterson: 102 of 160 for 1,070 yards nine touchdowns and five interceptions.

4.) Juan Uribe was born on July 22, 1979 and he has won two World Series (White Sox 2005, Giants 2010) while playing for four franchises (Rockies, White Sox, Giants, Dodgers).

8.) On this date in 2004 Santa Fe quarterback Angel Molina threw a fourth quarter touchdown pass to Chris Roth to secure the Chiefs 10-10 tie with Downey.
