The Dons face Whittier in the Del Rio League opener

All Kick-Offs are 7:00 PM unless otherwise noted

October 10

Del Rio League

El Rancho (2-3) at Whittier (3-2) at California

Last Year: El Rancho 34-3

If the Dons truly are a contender in the Del Rio League Whittier is a team they need to beat. If they can’t handle the Cards what will it look like against La Serna or Santa Fe? Whittier can play. The Cardinals beat Schurr and hung with Whittier Christian. El Rancho beat Montebello and stayed with Bell Gardens…for awhile. El Rancho needs to step up and will. Dons get it done.

El Rancho 28 Whittier 14

Montview League

Gladstone (2-3) at Duarte (2-3)

Last Year: Gladstone 34-18

Duarte is coming off a rout of Workman while G-Stone fell to Bassett. The Falcons still look like a contender in the Montview. As for the Gladiators well, there’s always that nice run in 2012. Duarte wins its second straight in league.

Workman (2-3) at Azusa (3-2) at Citrus College

Last Year: Azusa 55-24

The Aztecs have already beaten Duarte. A win here puts them at 3-0 in league and headed for a showdown with La Puente for the league title. Workman is wondering where it can get a league victory.

Azusa 41 Workman 13

Pacific League

Arcadia (3-2) at Glendale (2-3)

Last Year: Arcadia 49-7

The Apaches might struggle against Muir, Burbank, Burroughs or even CV but they’ll win this one. The Nitros have a couple of wins but in the Pacific they’ve been outscored 75-14. Arcadia ripped Hoover last week, and this week should be no different.
