1. San Gabriel Boys’ basketball in finals of their own tournament against Culver City, tonight at 5:30pm.

2. Big-12 began bowl play yesterday with Oklahoma, Texas, and West Virginia all losing.

3. Hart faces Canyon in La Canada Girls’ tournament tonight at 7pm.

4. Anaheim Ducks have an 11-point lead over rest of the Pacific division in NHL.

5. Los Angeles Clippers defeat Utah to improve to 21-11.

6. On this date in 1954, the 24-second clock was used for the first time in a game.

7. Three bowl games scheduled for today beginning at noon.

8. Happy Birthday wishes go out to former Keppel football/softball coach Bobby Madrid.

9. On this day in 1907, the Abraham Mills commission states that Abner Doubleday invented baseball. Doubleday also served as a Union general during the Civil War, fighting  at Fort Sumter and Battle of Gettysburg.

10. Congratulations to former Temple City lineman Josh Oulette on his engagement!
