The Ten

(“The TEN” is not a top ten but ten items worth being included in “The TEN”).

1. Cleveland Browns’ receiver Josh Gordon is suspended for a minimum of one year for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

2. Cyclist Lance Armstrong hit two parked cars after a night of partying in Aspen and then agreed to let his girlfriend take the blame to avoid national attention.

3. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady plans to give the Chevy truck that he won for the MVP award to safety Malcolm Butler.

4. It’s been seven years since Tiger Woods has won a major.

5. In the Madden NFL 15 game, the Patriots defeated the Seahawks 28-24. It also accurately predicted that Tom Brady would throw four touchdowns passes and Julian Edelman would catch the game winning touchdown.

6. Former Detroit Tigers first baseman Dave Bergman passed away at the age of 61.

7. Norwalk’s Dillon Faamatau has received a late offer from USC but is expected to sign with Arizona State.

8. Today is national signing day.

9. “I haven’t even talked to Marshall. I don’t know where that came from.” – Former South El Monte HC Ibis Aguilar on rumors that he would land at Marshall as head coach.

10. Happy Birthday to Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor who turns 56 today.
