The Ten

(“The TEN” is not a top ten but ten items worth being included in “The TEN”) 

1.  The Los Angeles Clippers lose to the Houston Rockets 113-100 in game seven in the Western Conference Semi-Finals.

2.  American Pharoah wins the Preakness and keeps alive the hopes for a Triple Crown.

3.  APU will take on UC San Diego today at 11:00 am. If the Cougars win they will take on Cal Poly Pomona in the Div. II West Regional Final at 3:00 pm.

4.  Mickey Mantle hit a home run from both sides of the plate for a record third time on this day in 1956.

5.  The Anaheim Ducks beat the Chicago Blackhawks 4-1 in the first game of the Western Conference Finals.

6.  “Mr. October” Reggie Jackson turns 69 today.

7.  The Dodgers Mike Bolsinger got his second win of the season going six innings allowing three hits and striking out six.

8.  On this day in 1990 the Cubs’ Ryne Sandberg ends his streak at 123 games at second base without an error.

9.  The NFL owners appear likely to vote to approve moving the extra point back to the 15-yard line.
