(Montebello) – New head coach David Ramos has set his staff at Schurr and there some interesting names that have been brought aboard.
Former Spartan quarterback Aaron Cantu and receiver Carlos Arredondo, who once teamed up to be the most dangerous duo in the Almont,are now part of the Schurr coaching staff. Cantu is the quarterback coach while Arredondo will be the receivers coach. Cantu and Arredondo also played together at ELAC before going off to play college football. Cantu graduated from Southern Utah and Arredondo from Henderson State.
The rest of the staff fills out this way. Randy Sanchez is the defensive coordinator with Dan Cota as the DB coach and Ryan Castro as the D-Line coach.
On offense Ramos will be the OC and Phillip Dominguez will be the running backs coach. Joseph Olivas and Jay Ferro will be working with the O-line.
“I’m very excited about this staff. We have a lot of knowledge from older guys and raw excitement and energy from our young coaches,” Ramos said.
