5. The Pittsburgh Steelers signed kicker Garrett Hartley to replace Shaun Suisam who underwent knee surgery Wednesday.

6. On Tuesday, for the first time in baseball history all 15 home teams won on the same day.

7. “Two Muir transfers? We got five or six!” A Monrovia spectator to Tim Peterson Wednesday afternoon at Monrovia’s practice.

10. Happy Birthday to former Dodger reliever Tom Niedenfuer who turns 56 today. Niedenfuer gave up the infamous home run to Jack Clark in the 1985 playoffs.
