  2. La Canada Girls’ basketball begins season 5-0 after win over Oak Park on Monday night under head coach Sarah Beattie. The Spartans won their first tournament on Saturday in five years.
  3. Lakers’ losing streak hits three with loss to Toronto.
  4. Los Angeles Kings are on a four-game winning streak and hold a seven point lead in the Pacific Division. Face Columbus on the road tonight.
  5. APU basketball mens’ and womens’ defeat California Baptist on Saturday night. Their final game before the break is on December 19 against Dixie State.
  6. Dodgers trade for Aroldis Chapman on hold in MLB investigation for domestic violence.
  7. Mets front runners to land Ben Zobrist.
  8. 55 years ago the expansion California Angels signed a 4-year lease to use Dodger Stadium.
  9. 75th anniversary of the 1st NFL Championship game on national radio in which the Bears defeat Redskins 73-0.
