Game time is Friday night at 7:00 p.m.
Friday December 11
Oceanside (9-4) at La Mirada (11-3)
Oceanside has a pretty balanced attack rushing for 1975 yards and throwing for 1713. Niko Mageo will get the majority of the work. He had over 1100 yards and 9 touchdowns on the year. The Pirates didn’t even win their league finishing second at 2-2 behind 4-0 Carlsbad. They got hot when it counted though winning their last five games culminating with a 23-14 win over El Camino to win the San Diego Section championship.
La Mirada still hasn’t been threatened since September. La Serna hung around for awhile before the Matadores blitzed them with big plays in the second half. Sei-j Lauago ran wild and the defense put the clamps on the Lancer offense. The La Mirada offense, led by Tristan Meyer, has been clicking. If Lauago doesn’t get you then Micah Croom or Tevaka Tuioti will. The defense is usually good for one score a game as well. The La Mirada faithful should show up in droves again. The Mats get it done.
