1. The Dodgers begin a three game series tonight at Dodger Stadium with the Giants with a five game lead in the NL West.

2. #10 Louisville blew out #2 Florida State 63-20 Saturday. Cardinal Lamar Jackson had 216 yards and a touchdown passing and 146 yards and four touchdowns rushing.

3. Andrew Elfers threw for 169 yards and three touchdowns to help APU improve to 3-0 in a 27-17 win over Central Washington.

4. In his second game after coming out of retirement, Landon Donovan came on in the 74th minute of Saturday’s match with Sporting Kansas City and scored to help the Galaxy earn a 2-2 draw.

5. Whittier Christian’s Quinn Commans is leading the state in passing with 1,516 yards. He is also tied for second in the state with passing touchdowns with 20.

6. South El Monte’s Sal Tovar has rushed for 1022 yards and 14 scores in four games.

7. Tim Tebow arrived Monday morning at the New York Mets facility in Port St. Lucie, Fl and began his first workout with the Mets instructional league team.

8. Former Cincinnati Red and ESPN broadcaster Joe Morgan shares a birthday today with former Angel and Yankee pitcher Jim Abbott. Morgan turns 73 and Abbott 49.

9. San Dimas will look to go 4-0 to start the 2016 season Friday night at home against Diamond Bar.

10. The Mission Valley, Pacific and Suburban all open league play this Thursday and Friday.
