1. USC cornerback Adoree’ Jackson has decided to forgo his senior year and declare for the NFL draft.

2. Atlanta Falcon receiver Julio Jones will play Sunday in the NFC championship game against the Green Bay Packers. Jones was limited in the second half last week in the playoff win over Seattle with a foot injury.

3. Whittier Christian quarterback Quinn Commans finished the season with 3,777 yards and 43 touchdowns with only two interceptions.

4. Green Bay’s 34-31 win over Dallas Sunday was seen by 48.5 million viewers on Fox which was the most-viewed NFL divisional playoff game ever.

5. Los Angeles Clipper guard Chris Paul will have thumb surgery and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks.

6. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the San Francisco 49ers will offer their head coaching job to Atlanta OC Kyle Shanahan once the Falcons season ends.

7. Pittsburgh Steeler wide receiver Antonio Brown.

8. On this date in 1976 the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Dallas Cowboys 21-17 in Super Bowl X in Miami. Lynn Swann was named MVP.

9. On this date in 2008, former LA/St. Louis Rams owner Georgia Frontiere passed away at the age 81.

    Tap dancing helped Swann be a better football player. The shuffle and brush will help any kid be a great football player. Also pole dancing and modeling on the runway helps alot. It made me a better tackler.
