1. Anthony Rendon hits three home runs and has 10 RBI in the Washington Nationals 23-5 rout of the New York Mets.

2. Former Arcadia Apache quarterback Myles Carr signs with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL.

3. The Rams signed USC’s Justin Davis and UCLA’s Ishmael Adams as undrafted free agents.

4. Happy Birthday to Buena Park OC Jude Oliva (April 30th) who shares a birthday with former Detroit Piston point guard Isiah Thomas.

5. The Clippers fall to the Utah Jazz 104-91 in Game 7 at home in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

6. The Ducks beat the Edmonton Oilers 6-3 Sunday but trail in the best of seven series 2-1.

7. La Canada sophomore Ryan Graves is 4-1 with an ERA of 1.05 in six starts for the 17-5 (9-0 in Rio Hondo) Spartans.

8. On this day in 1991 Nolan Ryan pitches his record 7th no-hitter.

9. Aly Granados is hitting .516 with 4 home runs and 15 RBI for the Lady Minutemen of Maranatha.

    LC baseball is having an amazing turnaround. The new coach (who played in the MLB and is a Spartan alum) was a great hire.
