1. Los Angeles Kings AHL affiliate Ontario Reign force a Game 5 after defeating the San Diego Gulls 4-1 last night. Game 5 is tonight, the winner faces San Jose or Stockton in Round 2 of Calder Cup playoffs.

2. Former Glendale WR Michael Davis signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Los Angeles Chargers as a DB.
3. Los Angeles Angels are currently 14-13 and 3.5 games behind Houston for first place in the AL West.. The Dodgers are also currently 14-13 but only 2.5 games behind Colorado in NL West.

4. The draw for the 143rd running of the Kentucky Derby will take place tomorrow for Saturday’s race. 2016 Two-year old of year Classic Empire is expected to go postward as the favorite.

5. Houston Rockets and Cleveland Cavaliers each took 1-0 leads Monday night in 2nd round of NBA Playoffs.

6. Anaheim Ducks take to the ice tomorrow in Game 4, where they trail Edmonton 2-1 in 2nd round of Stanley Cup Playoffs.

7. Los Angeles Galaxy are currently mired in a three-game winless streak. They have scored one goal during that span.

8. Adam Jones was subjected to racial taunts at Fenway Park on Monday night.

9. On this date in 1904, Laska Durnell became the first woman to own a Kentucky Derby starter and winner with Elwood. Would eventually win the race and earn the winner’s purse of $4850.
