Amazing how people unaffiliated with either school are making comments. Both teams and staffs seemed just fine on Saturday with players from both teams hanging out throughout the day.
@ Catholic Public High School,
You really believe our coaches knew and encourage that fight? For your info, that security guard is there everyday for after school security 5 days a week. It’s one of the benefits of private HS. Get the story straight and if you where really there you know the WHS kid threw the first few punches. It was an unfortunate event but our small little squad is not going to lay down when some kid with issues starts throwing punches at one of our boys. Hope the kid is ok cause he was wearing a face mask to protect his broken nose he suffered on Thursday at today’s Pioneer 7on7 tourney. I will say those Hail Mary’s for his speedy rocovery and for the cheap shot punk coach that hit one of our kids on Thursday. He lucky that our so called bully of a coach of ours showed restraint on Thursday as did our other coaches but I’m sure you didnt see that.
I was there the cantwell staff knew something was going to go down before the game had even started and i believe the coaches encouraged the whole situation. They had a freakin security guard at the game thats a first for me to see a security guard at cantwin, cantfight, cantcontrollplayers for a practice. I dont know if cantcoach was working on coverages or practicing on holding or how to pick up penalties. The DC has a mouth on him i heard him talked down to one of his own coaches in front of other players and coaches of other schools. What is wrong with that dude. Its all good just say a couple of hail mary and an our father.
That maybe be true about Whittier and their problem child but I definitely know that Cantwell and their staff poured gas on the fire until it got out of control. Cantwell has a pattern and trouble has been following them throughout the summer circuit.
Fighting solves everything!
Doesn’t surprise me, they won’t be doing much winning during the season so might as well fight…
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this from Cantwell this year. They’ve had issues at a couple tournaments this year. One of their defensive coaches starts it every time. When the players have to hold a coach back, you it’s out of control. It’s really too bad that Travis can’t handle his staff because Coach Brown is a good guy.
Hats off to Spectrum for making good progress, but don’t let-up now guys, there’s still that 30% who need to learn that anything’s better than watching televised baseball.
