To Truth, You must be talking about Salesian or St. Paul Parking Car’s in The Future. Cathedral had 6 D1 Kids last season who are playing College Football. Cathedral has 1 Kid on The Miami Dolphins Torrey Mc Tyer and will soon have another Ladarius Wiley who will be an All American Safety at Vandervilt this season. USC has already Offered QB Bryce Young, Defensive end Stephon Wright, and Line-backer Halib Jabril. Three kids from Cathedral.

Cathedral does not need to steal Kids from Arroyo. They would not even start on Their Freshman Team. You saw what The Phantoms did to Arroyo at Bonita. Imagine a Real Game. Anyway, Arroyo did get a good Coach in Coach Chuck from Cathedral.

St. John Bosco 20 Transfers this year,Carson 26 Transfers this year. ,Calabasas last year 30 Transfers. St Francis this year 11 Transfers. Even La Salle 8 Transfers and St. Paul with 12. All You Haters are forgetting one important fact, The Kids that cathedral get’s all know each other from Pop-warner day’s. Cathedral does not go out and steal any players . Also, Having Bryce Young Helps a lot to attract players to Cathedral. Where would you rather play at Cathedral or Arroyo. Case Closed.

angeles fan , Cathedral steals 6 not transfers, STEALS 6 or 10 each year, and they state all schools do this , MOST, I repeat MOST schools get 1 or 0 transfers in 3 years , getting juniors and seniors who happened to be good but no one knew at pee wee level is what you get, They realize where they are at, they are good and getting no exposure to college play with the team they are in, so Cathedral welcomes them all.
Its a fricken shame catholic school cheating and God allows you to?

Cathedral there are no short cuts fam… Coach your kids up then you have to steal other peoples work and take credit for it. lololol

It’s possible these Santa Fe guys wanted into Cathedral to hone their skills at finding parking. It’s possible that many of these football hopefuls will wind-up parking cars professionally, so the skills they learn at the Chinatown campus will serve them well in the future.

If he wanted to play with the number 1 sophomore in the nation sooooo badly then why wait til 1 week before the season starts? Bryce Young was at cathedral last year and all of winter spring and summer why now? Nothing shady? My Arse! It’s not that you get transfers dummy it’s how you guys get them. A hundred people can’t be wrong here. It sad and so very shady. I wonder how his teammates feel having a guy come in a week before the season starts while they’ve been grinding and humping all summer. Win at all costs I guess. No thanks sir, I like my football home grown and with out all the drama. #wewonwithoutstealingkids!

Nothing shady at Cathedral . They have 6 transfers this year. There are schools with 20 or more transfers but the phantoms get a bad rap on these blogs.

    What transfers did Arroyo get?
Also even if they did it wouldn’t be nearly on the scale as Cathedral! Don’t be so sensitive man any logical person can see there was definitely something shady in the Santa Fe transfer. Coach gets fired players leaves and in that same week plays against his former team!!!! Cmon man really. Cathedral is begging for an investigation.

To Friday Knights, I wouldn’t talk to much about transfers Arroyo got some . You saw what Cathedral did to you at Bonita and that was 7 on 7. I don’t think Arroyo got a first down on the Phantoms..

Is it possible that the Phantoms can get away with it when the student/athletes who transfer in come from schools which are in different Southern Section divisions? (Such as Santa Fe.)

Thirty-day transfer rule? What transfer rule? There must be some fine print that allows for “emergency transfers.” If such fine print exists, I’m sure that Cathedral High has taken full advantage of it.
The CIF Southern Section, and its unequal/lax enforcement of the rules, are a joke.

Cathedral will never EVER be caught or penalized for a recruiting issue. They’re the masters or it. 1 week is plenty of time for those guys to find a “residence”
    For the kid.

How many times must we repeat that the parochial schools can take anybody, from anywhere, even the far side of the moon, with ZERO restrictions on place of residence? CIF is not going to risk a first-amendment lawsuit when a kid (who everyone knows transferred to play football) declares that God – or whatever celestial entity – told him to find the truth at such and such religious school. That’s why we need to segregate the religious schools from the secular ones….this should have been done the moment this inequity was realized.

Heard about the officials on Friday at Montebello. Sadly the same case was over at Cal. Yes the officials are going to make mistakes, but sometimes they miss the obvious calls and it ends up affecting a team in the long run. Come Friday it will be a great night up on the hill. Very excited to watch this game

For your sake you better pray that you get the same lopsided wack refs that were there on Friday because Schurr will roll you on an even playing field. Lucky for you last week was a fluke and you know it. Exhale my brother. You got Lucky!!!!

With all the defections from Dave Pierson’s squad of ineligibles, it’s a miracle the Chiefs were able to scratch-out three points. Indeed, the question here is how Cathedral was limited to only 27…the subs must have been inserted early.
