SOUNDS LIKE IT WAS A VERY NICE WIN OVER A DECLAWED KITTY. EXCUSES ARE WEAK, THIS IS FOOTBALL AND THE BEST TEAMS HAVE A NEXT MAN UP MENTALITY. GOOD JOB WHITTIER, GOOD LUCK IN LEAGUE WOULD HAVE BEEN A CLASSIER RESPONSE, BUT THAT WOULD BE TOO MUCH TO EXPECT FROM A CLASSLESS FAN

Yeah nice win against a team that didn’t have its starting QB or Running Back. Then on defense 2 starting Linebackers and starting safety.

Hope it feels great to beat a team that was without its Starting QB it’s top 2 RB and 2 starting Linebackers plus one of the RB’s is the starting FS. Nice win but not as nice as you think it was.

Bearcats 2-2 after playing 4 teams with a minus cal=preps power rating. Palomares league has only one team with a minus ranking so league success looks doubtful. Bearcats usually win a couple of games a year that they should not. Not anymore. This game against a porous Buena team just felt doomed. One just felt the Bearcats could not or would not hold the lead even at home. I can see 3-7 and missing the playoffs again barring a miracle. Thanks for screwing with our school Bub!!.

Congrats on your win last night. Take it and move on. You act like you did something special. We played terrible and you guys played ok. Your kids played tough and had a lot of character. You should try doing the same. If you’re looking to start some drama , we won’t give it to you. Grow up and move on.

I’m a Bassett parent I asked a couple kids I have seen from LA how they liked there new coaches they said they liked them. LA u lost a core group of players. Coach Urias was responsible for turning the programs around at South El Monte and Basset and the numbers don’t lie. To top it off he’s for the players and builds relationships. He helps the kids by putting together there videos and sending them out to colleges. He gets them scholarships. Joe Morales got a scholarship to Ohio from south El Monte. When the south coaching staff coached the west team who do you think was the mastermind behind the win. Coach Urias from the stands. He put together the offense from Las Vegas and coach escamilla played it. He’s a good coach give him a chance.

@JstaMom, LOL! You can’t be serious! You should have complained when LA was 3-0. It would have been more legit. It basically take Jerry Urias all of five minutes to evaluate who can and can’t play, not to mention there is something call Hudl to evaluate practices and opponents. You guys are lucky he’s willing to drive all the way from Vegas on a Friday. Glendora has a good program too so maybe the better team last night won. And there is no “I” in TEAM!

LA fans are the most fair- weather fans I’ve ever seen. They come out of the woodwork to criticize the coaching staff in a loss. Where were you last week when they were 3-0??? Give me a break, Jstamom! Belly Itcher summed it up nicely, be there for your kids, buy in and shut up. Those LA kids play their hearts out, so give them credit, instead of being a crybaby.

@JstaMom basically what you have is the Bassett High old coaching staff. JstaMom you need veteran coaches. Does LA not pay well enough that Spathais couldn’t get good coaches. Plus Urias is a smart football guy. But what u say is right if him coming to just games? Kids can’t buy into his coaching. Can you tell us who on Los Altos coaching staff. JstaMom your 10-0 season ain’t happening. I see LA going 7-3. Praising the coach cuz he 3-0 now 3-1 and the welcome Spathais party is over? Best of luck JstaMom

So mush for MTB offence rolling on the Dons Dbacks, you said they are too small, too slow, too short, to stop your passing and running game. Lol…

I was at the game and lost count on how many Oiler dropped passes and Dons interceptions.

ER D took out your QB and the Dons could have easily scored 42, 48 if the second string wasn’t playing in the fourth.

You can’t be serious. Teams like Montebello and BG are neighborhood rivals. First off they have been battling for years going back to the Whitmont. And second since these are old rivals you throw records out the window. So don’t go and say Montebello was a team we should have beaten when I would imagine Montebello and BG would feel that they should beat the Ranch every time they play. The Ranch played inspired defense. They came in a little banged up but the subs came in and did their job. Good win Dons!

Seeing kids playing there heart out and giving it there all even though for most after high school football career is over. As my son enters his second year college not playing football anymore I see him as a young man heading in the right direction. I can honestly say his coaches guidance patient and love of the game not only made him a good football player but it also has prepared him for the challenges ahead in life. To the coaches who do it just for the love of the Game thank u. Cuz we all know 99 percent of these coaches ain’t getting rich coaching.
