1. NFL referee Ed Hochuli retires after 28 years.

2. The Chip Kelly era begins as UCLA opens Spring football practice Tuesday.

3. El Monte has moved Penny’s Football camp to Saturday March 24.

4. Duarte will host St. Monica Academy for the second time in two weeks in the first round of the CIF Division V State Tournament Wednesday. The Falcons won by 40 on February 23.

5. The Los Angeles Rams placed their franchise tag on DB Lamarcus Joyner.

6. Gonzaga routed BYU 74-54 Tuesday night to win the WCC Championship for the sixth straight year.

7. Chicago Cubs right-hander Yu Darvish allowed one run in two innings against his former team, the Dodgers, on Tuesday. He struck out four and walked two.

8. Former Oakland Raiders linebacker Aldon Smith turned himself in to San Francisco Police on Tuesday and was booked on domestic violence related charges.

9. Former USC/Pittsburgh Steelers receiver, and current USC AD Lynn Swann turns 66 today.

10. “Everybody has the same amount of time during the day. You can either spend your time or invest your time.” – Chip Kelly.
