    Typical of FridayKnight aka Get Back Coach aka Assistant to the Assistant aka Chain Gang to be upset. As long as they’re D8, D9 or even D10 they will never will another CIF title. Because the MVL is so terrible they will continue to have a lot of wins. However, if they go “one and done” like they used to they could wind up in 10 or maybe 11. Singy has his title so of course he’s gonna act like he’s up for the competition. Still can’t believe they were in D12 that year when Rosemead was in 11. They should have been in 11 with RHS.

    Monrovia and San Marino in the same division now (9). Monrovia struggled the last few season in higher divisions but San Marino did win a game in division 6 last year. They beat Summit in a high scoring affair. Both should do fine in the new divisions. Monrovia has great talent with Maury Rams and San Marino is the best coached team around, no question about it. Temple City made a divisional jump going to division 12 and they seem to be on the rise. La Canada and South Pas still struggling to get traction. I expect Monrovia and San Marino to compete both for league and CIF title this year.

    Wow mighty confident, they’ve had back to back horrible years and now you are predicting a CIF title? I’m not so sure they get by the palomares better than 4th place.

    @BT Bear,
    Bonita will roll in this division. Who is there to beat them in D-10? South El Monte?Bogan and daddy Andrade are on the recruiting hunt for an already very talented group. The best thing to happen to Bonita was for Medrano to leave because there’s no way they would have ever been dropped down that low if he would have stayed.

    Arroyo in Division 8 is probably where they should always be. 8 or 9. Singiser likes it because it means his program is on the rise. They already get the cream of the crop from the El Monte area, now they are getting a transfer here and there. I expect that to rise a bit.

    Rosemead when they get their act together should be right there with Arroyo. Historically they go head to head to the knights. So divisions should reflect that.

    SEM fluctuates so much. Hard to say where they should be. They always get a stud QB or stud RB every 3-4 years. But D11 or 12 is probably where they should be consistently.

    Everyone else is in 13 and exactly where they should be. Expect El Monte to make a deep run this season. Maybe even a CIF Championship!

    It will be Tougher for Arroyo now. There is not Much of a difference between D-10 and up to D7. When you get to D6 and Up then you will notice The Big Difference. I think Arroyo will see they are not playing with inferior teams anymore.

    Being upset at the three division jump does not imply that I don’t think Arroyo can be successful. I just think it’s a massive jump and I don’t like it

    @FBFan, Questionable right now. At Maranatha Bogan went 7-5; loss to Village Christian 37-6, in ’16 he went 3-6-1; huge losses to Village again, 54-14 and then the Saints pounded him 54-14, and finished up at Maranatha with a pedestrian 6-5 record. That season he was overwhelmed by Village 63-14 and lost to Poly, yes Poly, 29-0. At the conclusion of the season he could not get out of there fast enough.
    Now Bonita isn’t Maranatha, but he will have to prove he still has what it takes to win games. He has a good QB. BoHi people keep saying this class was strong before. But CIF Champs. Show me.

    Mater Dei will be the only school to play D1 football for their whole program. They will pay any amount of money to their coach to bring in players. Amat will only be a matter of time before they drop.

    Its not joke, You have spoken about how superior Arroyo Football is for years and now CIF is agreeing with you and they are in a higher division where they can play teams that match their amazing coaching and talent….or are you saying they have just always been lucky to play in a weak league and low division.

    Give it a rest. Bonita got the best available coach in all the SGV with the best resume by far. Bogan and Bonita should be the far and away favorites to win D10 this year and if you’re a true Bonita fan, you’ll be celebrating along with them at the parade on D St.

    Wow, Bonita was playing WC for a cif championship in 2011, now Bonita is in D10. Who is making the coaching decisions at Bonita? Who ever it is, he/she needs to be fired. With all the talent at Bonita they should compete for the ship. Maybe Bonita is using the Arroyo strategy. Get lite up for two years and than beat up on lower competition.
