1. NFL draft Top 5 picks: 1. Arizona – Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma 2. San Francisco – Nick Bosa, DE, Ohio St. 3. New York Jets- Quinnen Williams, DT, Alabama 4. Oakland- Clelin Ferrell, DE, Clemson 5. Tampa Bay- Devin White, LB, LSU.

2. Boston Celtics legend John Havlicek passed away at the age of 79. Havlicek played 16 years with the Celtics and won eight NBA championships.

3. The New York Giants took Duke QB Daniel Jones with the sixth pick in the draft with Eli Manning nearing the end of his career.

4. The Dodgers beat the Cubs 2-1 Thursday to salvage one of the three games at Wrigley Field.

5. The Clippers stunned the Warriors 129-121 Wednesday night to force a Game 6 of their Western Conference Playoff series Friday night at Staples Center.

6. Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins was the third quarterback taken in the draft as he went #15 to the Washington Redskins.

7. The San Antonio Spurs beat the Denver Nuggets 120-103 Thursday night to force a Game 7 in their Western Conference playoff series in Denver.

8. The LA Chargers took DT Jerry Tillery from Notre Dame with the 28th pick in the first round.

9. On this day in 1983 the Baltimore Colts selected Stanford QB John Elway with the first pick in the NFL draft.

    Duke QB at #6 to NYG doesn’t count as aQB?
    Even if you hated the Celtics as I did, you had to love Havlicek’s game. RIP Hondo.

    Right before our eyes, Ballmer has turned the Clippers into a viable NBA team, while Earvin Johnson has made the Lakers disappear.
