1. The Dodgers beat Philadelphia 8-0 Sunday to complete a three-game sweep of the Phillies.

2. The Golden State Warriors beat the Toronto Raptors 109-104 Sunday to even the NBA Finals at 1-1.

3. The LA Galaxy fell to the New England Revolution 2-1 Sunday at Dignity Health Sports Park. The win marked Bruce Arena’s first as the head coach of New England.

4. The Baltimore Orioles selected Oregon State switch hitting catcher Adley Rutschman with the first pick in the MLB draft.

5. Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Gerald McCoy has agreed to a one-year contract with the Carolina Panthers.

6. The Boston Bruins lead the St. Louis Blues 2-1 in the Stanley Cup Finals. Game 4 is Monday night in St. Louis.

7. Warriors’ forward Kevin Durant is  expected to play at some point in the NBA Finals. Guard Klay Thompson, who was injured in Game 2 had an MRI Monday on his left hamstring and is awaiting the results.

8. The Angels fell to the Chicago Cubs 8-1 Monday at Wrigley Field.

9. “Culver City and Arroyo cruise to the finals in this one.” – MVS Commenter “Falcon1” on the El Rancho Tournament June 15.

10. On this day in 1980 the New York Mets selected Darryl Strawberry with the first pick in the MLB draft.

    I just heard about the passing of long-time La Habra football assistant Frank Thompson. His time with the Highlanders spanned an incredible 30 years, which means his dedication to the program is largely unparalleled. May he rest in peace.
