  1. The Dodgers hit eight home runs including two grand slams in a 22-1 rout of the Arizona Diamondbacks Saturday night. It was the most runs ever scored by the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium.

  4. Dustin Poirier beat Conor McGregor by TKO in the first round in the UFC 264 main event Saturday night in Las Vegas. 
  5. Atlanta Braves star outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. is out for the season with a torn right ACL. 
  6. The Milwaukee Bucks beat the Phoenix Suns 120-100 Sunday night in Game 3 of NBA Finals. The Suns lead the series 2-1.
  7. Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts opted out of the All-Star game and was replaced by Justin Turner. 
  8. Team USA lost to Nigeria 90-87 Saturday night in its first exhibition game before the Olympics. 
  9. The XFL is planning to relaunch in 2023 after talks with the CFL about a collaboration between the two league were put on hold. 
  10. On this day in 1996 the Chicago Bulls signed Michael Jordan to a one-year, $30.1 million contract.
