- The American League beat the National League 5-2 Tuesday night in the MLB All-Star game. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of the Toronto Blue Jays homered in the third inning and was named MVP.
- The Milwaukee Bucks beat the Phoenix Suns 109-103 Wednesday night to even the NBA Finals at 2-2.
- Cornerback Richard Sherman was arrested in Redmond, Washington early Wednesday and is facing several charges including one on suspicion of burglary domestic violence.
- Dodger pitcher Trevor Bauer’s administrative leave has been extended to July 27th.
- Kawhi Leonard had surgery for a partially torn ACL the Clippers announced.
- Los Altos center Jazz Gardner was offered by Pittsburgh.
- Max Muncy of Thousand Oaks was selected number 25 overall by the Oakland A’s in the 2021 MLB draft. Muncy is no relation to Max Muncy of the Dodgers.
- On this day in 1995 Ramon Martinez threw a no- hitter in the Dodgers 7-0 win over the Florida Marlins.
- Former UFC Champion Conor McGregor turns 33 today.
- The SGV Shootout at Arroyo is scheduled for July 24th.
Saw Cal play, they are very good. The only problem is they have La Serna in their league. The other teams I saw looked pretty good, even Western Christian competed. All the teams competed, only Crescenta Valley had a gimmick defense. CV was the only team competing to win with gimmicks defenses. The other school were running their own plays if it was a tackle football defense. SD was running play action, Cal was true to form even Bassett was running coverages like tackle football.
San Dimas is holding an 8 team passing league/tournament today, starts at 5pm. Linemen will be there as well doing one-on-ones. The teams participating are below:
