  1. The Carolina Panthers beat the Houston Texans 24-9 on Thursday Night Football. The Panthers are 3-0.  
  2. The Dodgers beat the Colorado Rockies 7-5 in 10 innings Thursday and moved to within one game of the San Francisco Giants in the NL West. 
  3. Cherrish Wallace has been named the new girls basketball head coach at Maranatha. Wallace previously coached at Muir, her alma mater, and played in college at Baylor. 
  4. Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has fractured ribs and is out Sunday. 
  5. The St. Louis Cardinals have won 12 straight and have moved five games ahead of both the Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies for the second NL Wild Card. 
  6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Rams, SoFi Stadium, Sunday 1:25 p.m. FOX. 
  7. The Chargers are at the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday at 10:00 a.m. on CBS. 
  8. Kedon Slovis is expected to start for USC Saturday night against Oregon State. Jaxson Dart, who replaced an injured Slovis last Saturday and led them to a win, has been sidelined this week at practice with a knee injury.
  9. The Chicago White Sox clinched the AL Central title with a 7-2 win over the Cleveland Indians Thursday. 
  10. UCLA at Stanford, Saturday 3:00 p.m. Pac 12 Network.
