- Cherrish Wallace has been named the new girls basketball head coach at Maranatha. Wallace previously coached at Muir, her alma mater, and played in college at Baylor.
- Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has fractured ribs and is out Sunday.
- The St. Louis Cardinals have won 12 straight and have moved five games ahead of both the Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies for the second NL Wild Card.
