- The Dodgers beat the Brewers 10-3 Sunday in the final regular season game but the Giants beat the Padres 11-4 to win the NL West by one game. The Dodgers will face the St. Louis Cardinals Wednesday in the NL Wild Card game at Dodger Stadium at 5:10 p.m. PT.
- Dodgers first baseman Max Muncy injured his left elbow in Sunday’s game and is “very unlikely” to play Wednesday in the NL Wild Card game.
- The Rams lost to the Arizona Cardinals 37-20 Sunday at SoFi Stadium.
- AL Wild Card Game: New York Yankees at Boston Red Sox, Tuesday 5:00 p.m. PT.
- USC beat Colorado 37-14 Saturday to improve to 3-2.
- UCLA lost to Arizona State 42-23 Saturday night at the Rose Bowl. The Bruins fell to 3-2 on the season.
- Previously #3 ranked Oregon lost to Stanford 31-24 Saturday in overtime. Notre Dame, ranked #9 coming in, fell to #7 ranked Cincinnati 24-13.
- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the New England Patriots 19-17 Sunday night in Tom Brady’s return to Foxborough, Massachusetts.
- MLB Division Winners: AL – East- Tampa Bay Rays, Central- Chicago White Sox, West- Houston Astros; NL – East- Atlanta Braves, Central – Milwaukee Brewers, West- San Francisco Giants.
- Santa Ana College, who was 0-2 coming in, beat Pierce College 83-0 Saturday night.
Reading Matt V twitter makes me wonder. He has been at Amat what a few months. Yet he takes credit for getting all Amat’s athletes offers. Photo’s of himself next to recruiters. Why doesn’t Hagerty or other coaches do that. Don’t they like their players? It makes me think about that guy that got people into Harvard,Yale and USC on rowing schlorships. Amat is losing character and games.
