  1. Previously unbeaten Michigan State lost to Purdue 40-29 Saturday. 
  2. USC lost to Arizona State 31-16 Saturday night to fall to 4-5 on the season. 
  3. AP College Football Top 5: 1. Georgia 2. Cincinnati 3. Alabama 4. Oklahoma 5. Oregon. 
  4. The Chargers beat the Philadelphia Eagles 27-24 Sunday to improve to 5-3 on the year. 
  5. The Rams lost to the Tennessee Titans 28-16 on Sunday Night Football to drop to 7-2 on the year.  The Titans improved to 7-2.  
  6. Glendora’s Braydon Brus rushed for 170 yards and three touchdowns, retuned a punt for a touchdown and recovered fumble in the Tartans 35-14 win over Downey Friday night in the first round of the CIF Division 3 playoffs. 
  7. The Lakers have gone 5-5 through the first 10 games. 
  8. Former Norwalk head football coach Otis Harrison passed away Saturday night. Harrison was on the staff at Norwalk under Jesse Ceniceros and then succeeded Ceniceros as HC when he stepped down.
  9. Second Round CIF playoff games Glendora at Apple Valley in Division 3 and Palmdale at Covina in Division 10 will both be played on Saturday night. 
  10. Dusty Baker will return as the Houston Astros manager in 2022.
