(Pasadena) – Pasadena went on a 9-0 run to open the fourth quarter and went on to beat Arcadia 69-61 in Pacific League action Friday night at the Dog House.
The Bulldogs led 52-59 heading into the fourth before ripping off nine straight points capped by a three ball by Teddy Reyes to increase the margin to 12. Pasadena outscored the Apaches 17-12 in the final frame.
Both teams came out hot early. Reyes scored 8 points in the first quarter including a pair of threes and Ethan Patterson knocked down two threes as well as Pasadena led 22-20 after one. Jonathan Maldonado had six points in the first quarter for Arcadia.

The second quarter was much different as the teams cooled off. Arcadia outscored Pasadena 12-8 in the second to take a 32-30 lead into the half.
Pasadena was cooking again in the third as Patterson hit two more from beyond the arc and the Bulldogs again put 22 points on the board to take the three point advantage.
The Momentum carried over into the fourth when the Dogs scored the first nine to put the game away.
“It was game of two evenly matched teams. We went on that run in the fourth quarter and that provided the spark,” said Pasadena Coach Tony Brooks.
Reyes led the way with 22 points including four threes for Pasadena, Fidel Cabrera and Patterson each had 12. Ryhan Poole scored 8 and Drew Brown added 7 including a trey in the first quarter.
For Arcadia Shant Chenorhavorian took scoring honors with 23 points which included five 3 pointers. Maldonado scored 11 down in the paint including a couple of jams and Sky Clay (cool name) added 10.
Pasadena improved to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in the Pacific League while Arcadia dropped to 6-2 and 1-1.
