  1. UCLA was knocked off by North Carolina 73-66 Friday night in the Sweet Sixteen. 
  2. North Carolina then routed #15 seed St. Peter’s 69-49 Sunday to advance to the Final Four. 
  3. The Final Four: North Carolina vs. Duke; Kansas vs. Villanova. 
  4. In Villanova’s 50-44 win over Houston Saturday Houston shot 29 percent from the field including 1 of 20 from three point land. Villanova shot 28 percent from the field and 5 of 21 from three. 
  5. The Lakers blew a 20 point halftime lead in a 116-108 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans Sunday. With the loss the Lakers fell to 31-43 on the year which is currently the 10th seed in the Western Conference. 
  6. The Dodgers Cody Bellinger is batting .153 (3 for 19) in seven games in Spring Training. 
  7. USC inside wide receivers coach Dave Nichol passed away Friday at the age of 45.
  8. According to 24/7 Sports St..Peter’s coach Shaheen Holloway is finalizing a deal to become the new head coach at Seton Hall. 
  9. The Kansas City Chiefs signed running back Ronald Jones II to a one-year contract. 
  10. Former Lakers guard Byron Scott turns 61 today.

    #5 Are the Lakers still an NBA team. Maybe they should consider going to Europe where the competition more equally matches their talent level and make sure Queen James is on the flight.
    #6 A .153 batting average might be acceptable for a catcher but not an out fielder of his age. Dodger’s have been EXTREMELY patient with him. Trade him for some pitching which they always seem to need or, send him to the minors until he and them can figure out what happened to his swing and timing.

    It’s altogether possible that Byron Scott, at 61, could play better than the stiffs wearing purple and gold nowadays.
