  2. The Golden State Warriors beat the Dallas Mavericks 120-110 Thursday night to wrap up the Western Conference Finals in five games. 
  3. The Boston Celtics beat the Miami Heat 93-80 Wednesday night to take a 3-2 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals series. 
  4. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick worked out for the Las Vegas Raiders on Wednesday. 
  5. The New York Yankees signed former St. Louis Cardinals star Matt Carpenter to a one-year contract. 
  6. Louisville hired former star guard Milt Wagner, who is also the grandfather of the number 1 recruit in the country, D.J. Wagner. 
  7. Temple City wide receiver Jacob Douglas has received an offer to play football at Clarke University. 
  8. Former Florida quarterback/ Heisman Trophy winner Danny Wuerffel turns 48 today. 
  9. Nebraska suspended its tradition of releasing red balloons after the first touchdown of home games due to a global helium shortage.

    MVS may have to add CO to the “tags” below. Now, or for sure later. BTW- APU no longer plays football.
